Remote Laboratory Director and Clinical Case Sign-Out

Dr, Wollenzien is board-certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics. She is available for remote case review and sign-out for cytogenetics and molecular genetics. 

Her training and expertise encompasses both constitutional and somatic disorders. She has experience and expertise in NGS assays for inherited disease as well as solid tumor and hematologic neoplasms.  She is well-versed in single-gene assays, both RNA and DNA based for hematologic neoplasms and inherited disease. Dr. Wollenzien also has expertise in short-tandem repeat analysis, Sanger sequencing, and cell-free fetal DNA assays. Her cytogenetics expertise spans a wide range of techniques from chromosomal microarray to karyotyping, and FISH. Dr. Wollenzien has expertise in cytogenetic analysis for constitutional cases and has particular interest and expertise in the cytogenetics of hematologic malignancies.
